Woodworking machines CE certification
Part 1: Definition of woodworking machine
A Woodworking machine is a wood machine that is intended to process wood. These machines are usually powered by electric motors and are used extensively in woodworking. It includes machines which process the wood(includes raw and semi-manufactured wood ) into woodworks like furniture, floor board, wall board etc.
Part 2: Classification of woodworking machine
According to the wood type and process type, it may be classified into three types:
1. Raw wood working machine:basic handling of raw wood including peeling, cutting etc. Typical machines are circular saws, wood dryer, wood peeler etc.
2. Wood transforming machines:drilling machine、tenoner、planning machine, band saw etc.
3. Wood surface treatment: Coater,furniture coating machine、brush machine、polishing machine,duster、wood graver、UV dryer etc.
Part 3: Directives and standards for wood working machine
1)Directives:Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
2)Standards:EN ISO 12100:2010, EN 60204-1:2006/AC:2010,C-type standards(If applicable)

Part 4 CE certification procedure for woodworking machine
Basic certification procedure is as follows:
Note: Woodworking machine are equipped with rotating parts, manual feeding parts and dangerous to exposed operators. So most of them are under Annex IV of Machinery Directive. For machines under Annex IV, the test on site must be carried out or witnessed by the engineer assigned by Notified Body in EU.
Part 5 Safety Notice for CE Certification of woodworking machines
1. Equipment safety notice
a) Earthing connecting is reliable。
b) Safeguarding is effective and emergency stop is accessible
c) Safety and reliability of control systems
d) Noise should be reduced to the accepted level
2. Operating notice
a) Before operating, work cloth well dressed(sleeve tied).Wearing scarf and wolves is not allowed during operating
b) Debugging first, operate until everything is ok
c) Check guards for rotating parts, fix it if damaged
d) Any failure or malfunction or blade changing, cut off the power and then maintenance
e) Check lubrication of the machine everyday
